Dr Michael Chong completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. He completed his basic surgical training in various hospitals in New Zealand, before commencing specialist training in urology in South Australia. He spent a year as a urology fellow at Monash Medical Centre, Melbourne, in general urology with an interest in urologic oncology, and in 2010 was awarded a fellowship in urology by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
Dr Michael Chong consults at the Tennyson Centre (Kurralta Park) and Flinders Private Hospital. He operates at Tennyson Day Hospital, Ashford Hospital and Flinders Private Hospital.
Dr Chong is unit head of the Department of Urology for the South Adelaide Local Health Network and a member of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand, the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, the European Association of Urology, the American Urological Association, and the Australian Medical Association.
